About Azep Nasal Spray
AZELASTINE belongs to a class of drugs called antihistamine or anti-allergic. It is used in the treatment of runny nose, itchy and watery eyes and sneezing due to allergies. An allergy is a condition that occurs when the immune system reacts to a foreign substance that is typically not harmful to your body. These foreign substances are known as ‘allergens’. Allergic condition varies from person to person. Some might be allergic to certain foods and seasonal allergies like hay fever, pollen or pet dander.
The AZELASTINE contains ‘azelastine’ belongs to the antihistamines class (anti-allergic drugs) that works by blocking histamine effects, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. It helps relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching and rashes.

Medicinal Benefits of Azep Nasal Spray
AZELASTINE is used in the treatment of runny nose, itchy and watery eyes and sneezing due to allergies. AZELASTINE works by blocking histamine effects, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. AZELASTINE is also available in form of eye drops which used to treat inflammation of the eyes. It is also used to prevent eye disorders which is caused by hay fever (allergic reaction causing itchy and watery eyes and sneezing). AZELASTINE is also effective in eye disorders like house dust and animal hair.
Directions for Use
AZELASTINE is available in the form of nasal spray and eye drops. Nasal drops: Wash your hands thoroughly with water before and after use. Blow your nose and remove the protective cap. Before the first use, press the pump few times until an even spray begins. Spray once into each nostril staying upright. Do not bend the head backward. Wipe the pump nozzle and place the protective cap. Eye drops: Wash your hands thoroughly with water before and after use. Take the prescribed amount of dose with the dropper and squeeze out a drop without touching the eye. Wipe any excess liquid with a tissue. Do not wipe or rinse the dropper tip after use. Place the dropper back on the bottle and tighten the cap. Note: Do not touch the tip of the dropper as it may contaminate the contents. Do not place the tip directly into the nose/eye while instilling the drop. If the dropper touches the nose/eye, immediately squeeze two to three drops onto the tissue and wipe the dropper’s tip.

If you are allergic to AZELASTINE or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, before using AZELASTINE. AZELASTINE should not be taken in the conditions like nose surgery, ulcers and injury. If AZELASTINE in the form of nasal or eye drops is taken by mouth, immediately contact your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before using AZELASTINE. AZELASTINE is not recommended for children below 6 years of age. Avoid the use of alcohol while using AZELASTINE as it slows your action. You may develop blurred vision for a short time after you use eye drops form of AZELASTINE. If this occurs, wait until your blurred vision disappears before you drive or use machinery. The nasal spray of AZELASTINE causes sleepiness. Do not drive or use machinery or do other risky activities until you know how AZELASTINE affects you.
